Fair Indians celebrates the intense relationship between Cuba and BEGUR, which has its origin in the migration of many people from Begur to the island during the XIX century. On returning to the village, those who had prospered in their business built ostentatious houses that still today adorn the streets of Begur. They were the popular “Americanos,” which tried to recreate the Cuba lifestyle and which left us a diverse cultural heritage. Three days of celebration and tradition about an evocative journey into the past and a vindication of their roots.
The first weekend of September Begur is transformed to relive that historic period that has left a deep print on this town and its identity.
